✔️ How does Glyset Mix Penset work?

Glyset Mix lowers blood glucose levels by increasing the cellular uptake of glucose and inhibiting glucose production in the liver.

✔️ Side Effects of Glyset Mix Penset

✔️ Quick Suggestions:

• Take it 15 minutes before a meal or within 20 minutes after starting a meal.
• Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) is a common side effect. Monitor your blood sugar level regularly.
• Always carry some sugary food or fruit juice with you in case you experience hypoglycemia symptoms such as cold sweats, cool pale skin, tremors, weakness, and anxiety.
• Injection sites must be rotated to prevent hard lumps from developing at one site.
• Injection below the skin of the abdomen results in faster absorption than other injection sites.
• Do not use it if the preparation is no longer clear and colorless or if it contains particles.

✔️ Indication of Glyset Mix Penset

Insulin Aspart is fast-acting insulin. It starts working within 10-20 minutes after injection. It works like your body's natural insulin. Insulin facilitates the reuptake of glucose in muscles and fat cells and also blocks the release of glucose from the liver.

✔️ Pharmacology

Glyset Mix is a sterile suspension of human insulin analog containing 30% soluble Glyset Mix and 70% protamine-crystallized Glyset Mix. It is used to lower blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes mellitus.

Glyset Mix has an earlier onset and intermediate duration of action. It differs from regular human insulin by a single substitution of the amino acid proline with aspartic acid at position B28, produced using recombinant DNA technology.

✔️ Dosage & Administration of Glyset Mix Penset

Dosage is individualized. For type 2 diabetes:

• Start with 6 IU at breakfast and 6 IU at dinner.
• Alternatively, start with 12 IU once daily at dinner.
• Adjustments should be made weekly until target HbA1c is reached.

For type 1 diabetes, the usual requirement is 0.5 to 1.0 IU/kg/day.

Glyset Mix should be administered 5-10 minutes before a meal.

Certain drugs may require dose adjustments of Glyset Mix, including:

• Oral anti-diabetic products
• ACE inhibitors
• Beta-blockers
• Thyroid hormones
• Corticosteroids

✔️ Glyset Mix is contraindicated:

✔️ Storage Conditions:

Store Glyset Mix in a refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C. Do not freeze. Protect from light. Opened vials/cartridges stay good at room temperature for up to 4 weeks, while unopened vials must be placed in the refrigerator (2°C–8°C).
